Cork Incubator Kitchens are up and running and opened for business for the past year. Being a state of the art production facility, the primary objective of the incubator kitchens was to encourage small producers, who work from home, to up scale to a commercial kitchen without incurring large capital expenses.
The Incubator Kitchens were launched with great publicity last October and a vigorous marketing campaign ensued.
Diversifying to accommodate other avenues of usage, the Kitchens are used for Culinary Classes, Food Demonstrations, Equipment Launches, Photo Opportunities and even a film crew rented the Kitchens recently to develop a video for on-line training.
With the Summer season upon us we expect the Kitchens to be very popular for outside catering and hospitality events. Additionally the next “Culinary Skills-Assistant Chefs” course starts in May with all places practically full.
The crying need for Catering Staff in the industry to be trained and ready for the Summer Season has made this culinary course extremely popular. If there is a need to run another course to meet the increased demand one will be organized simultaneously.
Though the Kitchens are used by successful and growing food producers, we are open to any enterprising person who has a food idea for product testing (R&D) or launch.
Trainers are welcome to use the kitchens to up skill their staff or members of the public.
The kitchen environment and lighting lends itself to fabulous photographic and filming opportunities.
Members of Taste Cork are welcome to a half day rental with our compliments throughout May.
